Online shopping for fashion is a category all its own, which is why I’ve narrowed down my favorite sites to the following Top 5:
RentTheRunway.com — This site may be the best idea in online shopping period. Rent designer dresses for a fraction of the cost, giving you more than you could typically afford and do away with wearing the same little black dress for every occasion. They send you two sizes and right now they have a huge rewards promotion going on that can save you some big bucks on dresses.
RueLaLa.com — While this is a members-only site, you won’t regret signing up. They offer high-end clothing that is on-trend at up to 70 percent off of retail . The membership program allows them to offer more exclusive styles rather than unwanted overstock.
BagBorrowOrSteal.com — Just like RentTheRunway.com, this site allows you to rent designer handbags that you couldn’t otherwise afford. Carry the bag for an extended period of time and trade in for a new one, or decide to buy it if you can’t part with it.
Overstock.com — You’ve most likely heard of Overstock.com (also known as, “O.co”). This site is great for home products, but a lot of people overlook their fashion section. Right now, they have a huge 55 percent off section including great name-brand, summer-to-fall transitional dresses as low as $23!
RetailMeNot.com — With my motto, “never pay retail,” I especially love this site. They have coupons for everything including groceries, but often feature great deals on fashion from retailers like Urban Outfitters, The Children’s Place and tons more.
